3 DAYS TO ELECTION

Well the time is almost upon us, it's only 3 days to election day and just by coincidence only 3 days until our Mighty Sea Eagles face the St. George Illawarra Dragons at Brookvale Oval in the first of the semi finals for 2008, only our 2nd home semi since home semis were introduced, our team has done us proud for the 2nd year in succession.

Now it might not mean much to some but to me it is important enough to ponder the scenario if certain parties win the election and go ahead with their plans to cut the promised funding for Brookvale Oval.It is already in the back of my mind with the events of last weekend, the fall of the premier and the sacking of certain ministers plus the new premier admitting how deep in debt the state really is, something we all suspected but was kept quiet by the Labor party.

I cannot see this government honouring the promise of $10 million to upgrade Brookvale Oval anytime soon, or for that matter ever, so we may only have the money promised by the council, that's where your vote is so important, if you want to see improvements to our hallowed turf we need to have a council elected that will make sure this promise is kept.

I can asure everyone if the "WE LOVE WARRINGAH PARTY" is elected we will see that all money promised is delivered , so when you go to vote this weekend take a good hard look at what all the parties are promising and if by chance you enjoy your football or enjoy having a state of the art stadium in this area then you will vote accordingly.

In finishing I would like to thank our mighty Manly Sea Eagles football team, to Des Hasler and the players, for the joy and excitement they have given me during this season, they have continued on from last years Grand Final loss and will almost certainly with a little luck during the next few weeks qualify for their 2nd successive Grand Final and hopefully this time win it.I would also like to congratulate Matt Orford for winning this years Dally M medal and also Brett and Glen Stewart for being selected in the Dally M team for 2008.
